In 1962, Marilyn Monroe sang “Happy Birthday” to the President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, and since then the two have become an “item”…a news tidbit that is incorrect.
In my book, “Marilyn Monroe & Joe DiMaggio – Love In Japan, Korea & Beyond,” I dissected this topic thoroughly to show that Marilyn and JFK and Marilyn and RFK, did not have affairs.
Yet, those who continue to regurgitate the sordid tales of love affairs in their rehashed biographies, as well as those out there pushing the Photoshop creations, are defaming the memories of the movie star, the President and the Attorney General.
It needs to stop…history needs to change and I hope my book, as well as this article, can help to point out the stupidities, especially with fun that people are having with cropping and Photoshopping and other types of photo silliness to point to an affair, when none ever happened.
I will preface, however, that I am not against the creative and nice Photoshops that some fans are coming up with, such as our feature photo, but if there was a dislike button on Facebook, I’d be busting my keyboard by selecting it when the JFK, RFK and Marilyn vomit comes up in articles and in images.
As a photographer, biographer, citizen, advocate and more for Marilyn Monroe, let me come out and prove my case here and now, with images that disprove the JFK and Marilyn affair nonsense…
Need to get the legal mumbo jumbo out of the way first before I continue: All images featured here are property of their respective copyright owners and my usage of them here is covered under the Fair Use Act for educational purposes only…blah, blah, blah…
People are being fooled by a couple of tribute artists posing as Marilyn Monroe and JFK. This has even gone viral in an article recently, which people have sent to me. This is not really them and they never posed like this together…in fact, they never technically “posed” together in a photo…it was only candid.
Marilyn and JFK again, never posed for a photo together, and these were two separate images put together…dumb…let’s be logical people, why would the President, even pose for a picture like this? You don’t even see photos of him like this with his wife!! And Marilyn was a respectable lady herself and would not be peddling herself…get with the program, K?
Not only is this picture a cropped version of the original, claimed to be an FBI press release photo, JFK was thrown in there, looking like he’s wearing a lousy toup. This Photoshop project gets an F- grade…come back next semester.
Wanna see the real deal?
Where did our dashing JFK fly off to? Because he’s not in this picture! And he never was to begin with, as can be seen. In the doctored “press release” where there had been a champagne bottle, was really and authentically, where Jerry Lewis’s head was. Not to mention, that you can actually see Dean Martin belonged to the shoulder in the cropped picture.
So, JFK is so pleased with the beautiful serenade from Marilyn at his birthday festivities, he rushes to the stage to plant a kiss on his girl?
Absolutely and positively NO!
Marilyn was never his girl, nor did he ever get onto the stage at all, until after Marilyn was singing and she was far off the stage at that point.
Plus, at least if you’re going to do a Photoshop, don’t use a zombie apocalypse expression on one of your subject’s faces. JFK looks like he’s about to get down with Michael Jackson in the “Thriller” video in this pose. F- as well…get back to the drawing board.
See the following:
This is the actual picture of Marilyn singing in her incredibly gorgeous and sparkly dress.
And we can see if JFK made it to the stage he must have been a real acrobat, swinging on a trapeze like a monkey to get to her, or swooped in like The Phantom of the Opera, because…
He was quite a distance from the stage…no Tarzan feats to get to the stage and kiss the beauty.
This is certainly another phony baloney, made up picture of Marilyn and JFK. Don’t trust it or believe it. Period.
Marilyn never gave JFK a present, let alone a wristwatch. Don’t get infatuated with this photo or idea…or any other idea that she gave him a gift or Hallmark Card…it’s a fairy tale…move on…
Check out the deceptive crop of the “love triangle” together…
This photo is always sized down to portray an intimate and whispery little threesome as if a photographer zoomed in on some clandestine meeting.
Ahhhhhh! That’s better!!! So now we can see, it was beyond a party of three!
There’s a blonde speck far off in the left corner, standing to the left of a bald speck in the same corner. That’s Marilyn and her guest for the evening, Isidore Miller, her former father-in-law, who she tended to throughout the evening, when she was not singing. Most conveniently get so wrapped up in the love affair theories, they forget the facts…Marilyn attended with her father-in-law and barely left his side. Done. Move on.
The above two photos were stitched together by a savvy soul on the net, who also was not fooled by the JFK and Marilyn love rumor mill. We can see here, they are far apart, Marilyn at a table with her father-in-law, and JFK on the opposite end of the room.
For the naysayers out there who still want to stick with the fairytale, you really should read my book, where I delve into this whole thing. Hopefully, this article, will set the record straight, in terms of images and you can fill in the rest of the gaps with further research. If you have any questions or feedbacks on this topic, please feel free to post them with the article.
